Arjan Bhullar vs. Anatoly Malykhin Set For ONE Fight Night 8 Main Event

It’s been 13 months since Anatoly Malykhin captured the Interim ONE Heavyweight World Championship.

Now, after months of contractual issues surrounding the bout, he’ll finally get his chance to unify the belts when ONE Heavyweight World Champion Arjan Bhullar returns to the Circle to defend his crown.

The heavyweight sluggers will meet in the main event of ONE Fight Night 8 on Saturday, 25th March, live from the Singapore Indoor Stadium, and ultimate glory will be on the line.

Their paths to this highly anticipated affair couldn’t be more different.

“Singh” hasn’t been seen inside the Circle since his belt-clinching performance against Filipino legend Brandon Vera at ONE: DANGAL in May 2021.

When Bhullar claimed the World Title from the longtime king, Malykhin had only just made his debut in The Home of Martial Arts, but he has since become one of the biggest names on the roster.

The Russian slugger ascended to a shot at the Interim ONE Heavyweight World Title after scoring back-to-back opening-round finishes in his first two outings in the Circle. He then stopped Belarusian behemoth Kirill Grishenko in the second round of their contest in March 2022 to claim the gold.

Malykhin was last seen at ONE on Prime Video 5 last December, where he handed Reinier de Ridder his first career defeat to snatch his light heavyweight throne.

It has taken 13 months to get here, but the two-division ONE World Champion has never lost focus on unifying the heavyweight straps.

Bhullar will be supremely fired up to return with a bang and silence the mouthy Russian, however, so fans should expect an absolute barnburner to go down when these two take to the Circle on March 25th.
