A lightweight fight between Ireland’s Adam Shelley (2-2) and Senegal’s El Hadji Ndiaye (4-1) is set to take place at Cage Warriors 145 on Friday 4th November 2022 in London’s Indigo arena. Multiple sources with knowledge of the matchup confirmed the news to SevereMMA.com.

Shelley, who trains under Chris Fields and Tom King at Team KF, was a two-time taekwondo world champion before transitioning to MMA. Ndiaye was born in Senegal but grew up in Belgium and now trains out of Paris, France. “Gaindeh” is no striking novice himself, boasting a black belt in taekwondo. On paper, this matchup should serve up some fiery striking exchanges for as long as it stays on the feet.

Both Shelley and Ndiaye will be aiming to rebound into the win column when they collide. Ndiaye’s Cage Warriors debut at CW136 in April lasted just 14 seconds. Adam Cullen (4-0) dropped the Senegalese fighter before following him to the mat with a barrage of finishing blows. Meanwhile, Shelley suffered a second-round standing TKO stoppage at the hands of James Power (3-0) in his most recent outing at CW140 in June.

Despite coming off losses, the pair are dangerous fighters. Ndiaye went 4-0 to open his professional account, and Shelley hugely impressed in his CW debut in April.

Cage Warriors 145 features a monster title unification main event between featherweight champion Jordan Vucenic and interim champion Paul Hughes. The event will take place in London’s Indigo at the O2 on Friday 4th November 2022.

Tickets go on sale this Friday 26th August at 10am, and the event will be broadcast live on UFC Fight Pass.

Fight card to date:
Featherweight Championship Main Event: Jordan Vucenic (C) vs Paul Hughes (IC)
Middleweight: James Webb vs Samir Kadi
Lightweight: Adam Shelley vs El Hadji Ndiaye
