Breaking: John Mitchell vs Lorenzo Parente Added to PFL Belfast

A lightweight fight between John Mitchell (10-2) and Lorenzo Parente (4-0) has been added to PFL Belfast. Multiple sources confirmed the matchup, which will take place on Saturday 10th May in SSE Arena, with SevereMMA.com.

A 2023 PFL Europe finalist, Mitchell enters the contest riding a two-fight winning streak. The Dubai-based Corkonian is 3-1 under the PFL banner. Most recently, Mitchell scored a Unanimous Decision victory over Souhil Tairi at PFL Road to Dubai Champion Series.

Parente is undefeated as a professional, donning an unblemished 4-0 record. A former EMMA 4 Nations amateur champion, Parente also boasts a 100% finish rate as a pro and has yet to see past the first round. Training out of Higher Level Martial Arts under James Doolan, the Scot finished Stefano Catacoli via 1st-round armbar in his PFL debut last September.

Mitchell joins fellow Irishmen Paul Hughes and Decky McAleenan on the Belfast card. The former is scheduled to headline the card in a homecoming showcase fight vs Bruno Miranda.

A PFL representative told SevereMMA.com that additional tickets will be released today for PFL Europe Belfast on 10 May at The SSE Arena due to popular demand.
