Tiarnan Loughran Pro Debut Set for Cage Conflict XII: Anarchy

One of the leading Irish amateurs in 2023, Tiarnan “The Stallion” Loughran, is set to make his professional MMA debut on Saturday 24th February at Cage Conflict XII: Anarchy. The promotion revealed to SevereMMA.com that Loughran will face Italian Andrea Flamminio (1-1) in a lightweight contest, which takes place at The Devenish Complex, Belfast.

Loughran initially announced the date of his move to the pro ranks on the latest episode of The Auld Triangle.

Previously training in Liverpool under Team Kaobon, Loughran made the move to Belfast gym Fight Academy Ireland in 2023. Under the tutelage of Liam Shannon and Pat McAlister, the now 22-year-old fighter went 4-1 last year, his sole loss coming via Split Decision against undefeated prospect Max Lally. Following that April defeat, “The Stallion” put together a 4-fight win streak to cap off an impressive amateur career, leaving behind a record of 10-2-1.

As he moves into the professional ranks, the Kildress native will be aiming to follow in the footsteps of his older brother, Caolan, a former Cage Warriors Champion and current UFC bantamweight fighter.

Standing across the cage from Loughran will be Italy’s Andrea Flamminio. Fighting out of Alpha Training Centre, Flamminio won his pro debut via 2nd-round submission in July, before losing a decision to undefeated fighter Manuel Lancioli.

The event will be headlined by a professional flyweight title fight between Dubliner Ryan “Chaos” Curtis (6-4) and Italian Davide Scarano (4-1). Curtis fought just once in 2023, and will be looking to return to the win column following a 1st-round submission loss on Cage Warriors to Nicolas Leblond. Similarly, Scarano most recently suffered a loss in the famous yellow gloves, losing via 3rd-round TKO at the hands of undefeated UK prospect Lone’er Kavanagh. With 8 finishes between Curtis and Scarano, this main event should be fireworks.

Full Fight Card (to date):

  • (Main Event) Professional Flyweight Title Fight: Ryan Curtis (6-4) vs Davide Scarano (4-1)
  • (Co-Main Event) Professional Welterweight Bout: Eamon Deane (1-0) vs Andrea Marrazzo (3-8)
  • Professional Flyweight Bout: Henry Corrigan (2-0) vs Francesco Di Renzo Mannino (1-3)
  • Professional Lightweight Bout: Tiarnan Loughran (0-0) vs Andrea Flamminio (1-1)
