UFC 296 – Severe MMA Staff Predictions

As the world gears up for the festive period, the UFC’s final PPV offering of the year is upon us. All eyes will be on Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday night as Dana White and co. serve up one of the best cards (at least on paper) of the year.

In the UFC 296 main event, reserved welterweight champion, Leon “Rocky” Edwards, collides with the brash Colby “Chaos” Covington. Alexandre Pantoja is set for the first defense of his UFC flyweight title, a rematch vs Brandon Royval in the co-main event. That’s not all though! Ireland’s Ian Machado Garry takes on the toughest test of his MMA career in Vicente Luque to open the main card action. Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett is back to face the legend Tony Ferguson, and 17-0 welterweight wrecking ball, Shavkat Rakhmonov, squares off against Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson.

As this is the final PPV of the year, the stakes are high for the Severe MMA team members. Bragging right are on offer for 2024. Polish MMA aficionado Seán Denny is in pole position, but Andy and Caoilte are hot on his heels. It’s all to play for here!
