Pa Lehane vs. Moses Diaz set for Combate Global on May 13

Pa Lehane (5-2) will return to the Combate Global cage on May 13th where he will take on undefeated prospect Moses Diaz (5-0) in a featherweight clash.

It will be the eight appearance for the Cork man in the Miami based promotion having burst onto the scene in 2021. Lehane fought five times under the Combate banner that year. “The Leech” picked up four impressive wins against Sebas Santana Guedes, Maxime Giacalone, Isaac Ruelas and Hugo Flores en route to picking up Combate Global’s rising prospect of the year award.

His opponent, Moses Diaz, started off his professional career having gone undefeated in the amateur ranks, and picked up where he left off after making his pro debut in 2021, Diaz picked up three knockout wins on the regional circuit in the States before making his Combate Global debut.

That debut turned out to be very memorable for Diaz as he produced a stunning 6-second knockout win against Carlos Cordoba Fonseca. Juan Porto was next for Diaz and the Arizona representative picked up the first decision win of his career winning a unanimous decision which set up this showdown with Ireland’s Pa Lehane.

Lehane, who also took home the SevereMMA ‘Emerging Prospect of the Year’ in 2021, will look to return to winning ways after a disappointing last outing. The SBG Cork man was on the wrong end of a decision against Jose Ferreira in September of last year and will be looking to put that result in the rear-view mirror next month.

Lehane will move down to the 145-pound division to take on Diaz on the May 13 Combate Global card which will be available to stream live in the US and Canada on Paramount+. Stream details for fans in Ireland have yet to be confirmed.
