Day 3 of the 2022 European Championships saw four athletes in action. It was supposed to be five, but Ronan Deegan’s opponent was forced to pull out and he advanced to secure a medal spot.

Jordan Scully opened the day for Ireland and was submitted early bringing his really impressive run to an end. However, has bagged himself a bronze medal as he continues to thrive since graduating from the youth ranks.

Keith Keogh looked incredible once again as he submitted England’s Jake Stark with ease to book a slot in the semi-finals against a tough Israeli fighter. One of the fights to watch on Day 4.

Kerry Ann Vernon came up against the reigning European Champion and looked good in there until getting caught in a submission. Sinéadh Ní Nualláin was in yet another very entertaining bout but was unable to overcome her Ukrainian opponent.
