The Featherweight Grand Prix returned to the Mohegan Sun Arena on Thursday night. Daniel Weichel and Emmanuel Sanchez fought in a quarter final rematch, the 145 pound title was on the line in the main event, the champ Patricio Pitbull took on SBG man Pedro Carvalho.

Sandwiched in between those bouts on the three fight main card was a fight between two undefeated prospects. Yaroslav Amosov and Logan Storley went to battle in the welterweight division and uber prospect Aaron Pico looked to keep his winning streak alive when he squared off against John de Jesus in the 145 pound division at the top of the prelims.

Double champion Patricio Pitbull made easy work of his opponent Pedro Carvalho to advance to the 145 pound semi finals of the Featherweight GP.

Emmanuel Sanchez moved forward in the other semi final and will get the next crack at Pitbull’s strap. Sanchez beat Daniel Weichel by unanimous decision.

Undefeated competitors Logan Storley and Yaroslav Amosov battled the full distance in their welterweight encounter. It was Amosov who came out on top, he picked up the win by split decision.

Aaron Pico showcased his devastating power in his featherweight bout with John de Jesus. Pico is one of the fastest rising prospect in MMA right now and put in the performance of his career to date.

Keri Melendez kept her winning streak alive by picking up a submission victory in the first round.

Roman Faraldo landed a nice flying knee in his win over Pat Casey in the 170 pound division.

Trevor Gudde brought a fantastic mullet into the opening bout of the evening. He doubled up with a great stoppage in the third round in his welterweight bout against Khonry Gracie.
