Frans Mlambo to rematch Stephen Loman for title at Brave 13

[Press Release] SBG Ireland’s Frans Mlambo has his next fight set as he takes on current Bantamweight champion Stephen Loman in the main event of Brave 13: Euro Evolution, set for Belfast, Northern Ireland, on June 9th.

The Irishman, who was inserted into the spotlight after he became one of Conor McGregor’s main sparring partners for his super-fight against Floyd Mayweather, also has revenge on his mind. He already faced Loman once before, in September of 2016 at Brave 1, with “The Sniper” getting a unanimous decision win over “The Black Mamba”.

Since then, Mlambo, who currently trains in Ireland, has bounced back with three straight Brave wins, beating the likes of Jalal Al Daaja, Michael Deiga-Scheck and, finally, Felipe Efrain, to credential himself to a title shot. The Irishman has also spent time at the KHK MMA team, alongside Eldar Eldarov, Hamza Kooheji, and others.

Meanwhile, Loman beat Gurdarshan “St. Lion” Mangat back at Brave 8: The Kingdom of Champions, last November, to win the first-ever Brave Bantamweight world title and will try to maintain his title in spite of a bad run for Team Lakay, where he trains, in Baguio, Philippines – two other teammates of Loman have lost their last bouts for the promotion.

Brave 13 will be held at the SSE Arena, in Belfast, Northern Ireland, in the first-ever Brave Combat Federation show in Europe. Loman x Mlambo is the first fight to be confirmed for the event, and other bouts will be announced in the coming weeks. In the previous 12 shows, Brave has visited other eight countries – Bahrain, Brazil, United Arab Emirates, India, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Jordan, and Indonesia.
