Tom Duquesnoy set to sign for the UFC and debut 15th April

French outlet L’Avenir reported today that Tom Duquesnoy is set to sign with the Ultimate Fighting Championship in the coming days.

SevereMMA’s own Niall McGrath spoke with Tom Duquesnoy after the report broke and “The Fire Kid” confirmed to us that he is about to sign with the UFC and although the deal isn’t signed yet, he hopes to have it finalised in the coming days.

According to the report on L’Avenir, the highly touted prospect and dual-weight BAMMA champion will make his UFC debut on 16th April 2017 at a yet to be announced event.

Duquesnoy (14-1) is well known to the Irish and UK MMA fans having fought 10 times between the two countries while seemingly establishing himself as the biggest prospect outside of the UFC in the mind’s of most.

Most recently Duquesnoy fought out the last bout of his BAMMA contract as he defeated Alan Philpott with a RNC in the 2nd round after an exciting back and forth stand up battle in the 1st round.
