Muhammed ‘King Mo’ Lawal will headline Bellator 169 against Japanese heavyweight Satoshi Ishii in Dublin on December 16th, as reported by Peter Carroll in today’s Irish Daily Mirror.

Following on from Monday’s news that the event would be a collaboration between Bellator and BAMMA, Scott Coker claimed that BAMMA and Bellator would put on two separate events on the same day in the 3 Arena.

“Dave Green [BAMMA CEO] and I have been trying to put this together for the last year,” he told the Irish Mirror. “We thought this would be a good time to roll it out.

“It’s going to be a really unique event because fans will be able to come to an arena and see a whole BAMMA card and then after that, they will get a whole Bellator card. It’s basically two shows in one night.”

The report also confirmed that James Gallagher has been removed from Bellator 164 card in Israel, and will instead compete at the Dublin event.

Coker caught a glimpse of the Irish support in London back in July and is excited to be taking his product to the Emerald Isle for the first time

“We were all blown away by the Irish support when James was fighting in London,” he said.

“These guys was singing and shouting throughout the fight and it was really exciting to be there for that. Now, to have James fighting in Dublin along with some other fighters from the market, I expect it to be a real spectacle.”
