Cage Warriors announced this afternoon that BT Sport will host ‘CW Unplugged’ live from BT studios and it will provide the warm-up act for BT Sport’s live broadcast of UFC 205 from Madison Square Garden on 12th November 2016.

The broadcast will feature Cage Warriors champions Paddy Pimblett and Chris Fishgold against yet to be announced opponents.

[Press Release] To mark an historic night in MMA, the Cage Warriors team will join forces with BT Sport on November 12 to host ‘CW Unplugged,’ live from BT’s studio in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Stratford, London.

The event will feature headline bouts between defending CWFC lightweight champ Chris Fishgold and the newly crowned featherweight champion Paddy Pimblett – and all of the action will take place in front of a hand picked studio audience.

In what promises to be a groundbreaking night for MMA in the UK, CW Unplugged will provide the warm-up act for BT Sport’s live broadcast of the historic UFC 205, the most talked about MMA event of the year. Not only will it take place at Madison Square Garden, New York City, for the very first time, it is headlined by the ex-Cage Warriors’ double weight champion Conor McGregor who attempts to become the UFC’s first simultaneous two weight champion.

Back in 2012, before moving to the UFC, Conor McGregor simultaneously held the CWFC featherweight and lightweight titles, which are both on the line at CW Unplugged.

The promotion’s London show will feature the best European talent on a card with multiple World Title fights.

Graham Boylan, Cage Warriors’ President says, “This promises to be the most talked about night in our sport. We’re putting our athletes right in the home of British and Irish MMA on a night when Conor – a truly great CW Champ will hopefully deliver in the Big Apple – we’ll be cheering him on.

“BT Sport has helped us to broaden the appeal of mixed martial arts and November 12 will start a new chapter in our partnership with them as we launch CW Unplugged.”

The promotion will be back in action on October 15th from Newport, Wales. CWFC 79 will stream live on BT Sport, UFC Fight Pass as well as Viasat in Scandinavia.
