7 fighters confirmed for Cage Contender: Fight Stars in Liverpool, England

Since seasoned promoters Chris Zorba and John Ferguson announced they would be joining forces for a series of televised one night prize fighter style tournaments, the MMA jungle drums have been beating in anticipation of the line up who will compete in the first £10,000 Cage Contender Fight Stars event at the Liverpool Olympia on December 1st.

Now the wait is over, a mouth watering list containing fighters who have competed in UFC, TUF and other top promotions is revealed in the 155 Lbs lightweight division

Curt Warburton 10-3-0

Tim Radcliffe 12-4-0

Jason Ball 18-11-0

Martin Stapleton 9-1-0

Tim Newman 8-3-0

Lewis Long 6-1-0

Mark Glover 6-1-0

The eighth and final spot will go to the winner of the fight between TUF vet Dean Amasinger (9-6-0) and Chris Hoban (8-4-0) which will take place on 20th October at OMMAC 15 “Legacy”

Cage Contender Fight Stars will benefit for the current Cage Contender global television distribution with UK and Irish fans being able to catch the action in a Free to Air deal with Premier Sports and Setanta sports respectively.

The first round draw will take place on Saturday 3rd November. Ticket details will be released over the coming weeks
