Jon Jones vs Dan Henderson confirmed by Dana White

Although it was expected, Dana White made it official tonight, announcing that Jon Jones would next defend this light heavyweight title against Dan Henderson.

The announcement was made by the UFC President during the UFC 145 post-fight press conference.

No announcement was made for a date or location for the bout, but Henderson has been waiting and Jones was mostly unscathed from his bout versus Evans. The timing could lead to a show down between the long time veteran and young superstar at the UFC on FOX 4 event currently scheduled for August 4th in Los Angeles. As of yet no bouts have been announced for that main Fox card, but Jones vs. Evans could add a huge draw to the network event.

Jones of course is coming off tonight’s victory over Evans and Henderson is coming off an epic victory of Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua.
