‘Rampage’ Jackson misses weight by 5lbs ahead of UFC 144

Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson has weighed in at 211lbs ahead of his UFC 144 bout with Ryan Bader on Saturday night. Meaning he has missed weight by 5lbs.

The bout will still go ahead with Rampage losing 20% of his purse to his opponent Ryan Bader. In Rampage’s lastest fight his disclosed fight purse was $250,000, so if he were to be paid the same again. Bader would get an extra $50,000 on top of his pay.

In Dana White’s 2nd UFC 144 video blog, Rampage had told Dana that he “didn’t want to know” after White had asked him how his weight cut was going, but by 5lbs? Dana will not be happy.

Former UFC Middleweight Champion Rich Franklin has since said ”If you miss weight by 6 pounds, either you didn’t want to make weight or something went wrong in camp.”

Rampage himself says that he couldn’t get enough roadwork due to a training camp injury. He says he cut 21 pounds but couldn’t get last 6 off.
