Paddy McCorry Steps in to Face James Webb at CW145

Undefeated Fight Academy Ireland pro Paddy McCorry (2-0) has stepped in on short notice to face former Cage Warriors middleweight champion James Webb (8-4-1). Multiple sources confirmed the news to SevereMMA.com.

Webb was originally scheduled to face Samir Kadi.

McCorry is 2-0 as a pro. The FAI middleweight won the Cage Conflict 185lbs title in his pro debut and successfully defended it in December. McCorry has a 100% finish rate thus far as a pro.

Webb represents, by far, the biggest test of McCorry’s career to date, both in experience and skill set. However, the former champ has suffered back-to-back KO losses. This is a big fight that has come out of nowhere in Irish MMA. This is a massive test for McCorry in his Cage Warriors debut, but it’s also a huge opportunity to take out a former champion in just his third pro fight.

A must win for Webb also, who will be looking to reestablish himself in the division against one of Ireland’s rising prospects.
