Kampmann, Chiesa and Cofer earn “Of The Night” bonuses

Martin Kampmann, Mike Chiesa and John Cofer each earned $40,000 bonuses for their performances tonight at The Ultimate Fighter Live Finale – and Justin Lawrence doubled up with two awards and a total of $80,000.

Kampmann and Lawrence each picked up a “Knockout of the Night” bonus, Chiesa picked up the “Submission of the Night” award, and Lawrence and Cofer took home “Fight of the Night” honors.

UFC president Dana White announced the winners following the event.

The Ultimate Fighter Live Finale took place at The Pearl at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. The main card aired on FX following prelims on FUEL TV and Facebook.

Lawrence, one of the favorites on “The Ultimate Fighter: Live,” made up for a disappointing quarterfinal loss in the “TUF” house by going toe-to-toe with Cofer on Friday’s preliminary card. He then landed a massive highlight-reel head-kick knockout in the third round.

Kampmann won for the second time in a row in comeback fashion after stopping the streaking Jake Ellenberger with a second-round TKO. Kampmann had to survive an early onslaught of offense from Ellenberger in the night’s main event, and he then survived Ellenberger’s stifling ground work that seemed to have the action stalled out for much of the first. But in the second round, the two came out swinging, and after Kampmann stunned Ellenberger with his hands, he got a Thai clinch and landed three big knees, the third of which put Ellenberger on the canvas.
