KSW Announce Deal With ViaPlay

KSW have announced a new partnership with Scandinavian based streaming service ViaPlay. The news was announced today at a press conference in Warsaw.

ViaPlay has secured the exclusive Polish rights to show KSW on their platform, a deal marking the end of KSW’s 17 year relationship with national broadcaster Polsat. The move will also see KSW become available in the streaming service’s other 9 territories in the Baltic and Nordic region.

Not only will this deal open the promotion to a wider audience, it will lead to an increased number of live shows. KSW plan to put on 12 shows in 2022, double what they have averaged pre-pandemic. 5 of these shows will be their traditional big arena shows in the likes of Łódź and Gdańsk. The remaining 7 shows are open to arenas under a 10,000 capacity, which opens up new venues that haven’t been able to host the Polish giants to date.

Maciej Kawulski, KSW co-owner: “We are very excited to work with Viaplay starting with KSW 65 on December 18. The Viaplay streaming platform is incredible value for sports fans and will make KSW accessible to more eyes in Poland and around Europe. I am sure all KSW fans will have a heightened viewing experience and will benefit from this partnership.”

Martin Lewandowski, KSW co-owner: “Next year will see an increase in our events, our roster of athletes and the number of European territories in which KSW will be readily available. Working with Viaplay provides us with new opportunities and will only have a positive impact on KSW going forward. This is a big moment in the history of our federation, and it highlights our dedication to continued growth. I am excited to begin this partnership and look forward to welcoming KSW fans, new and old, to Viaplay starting with KSW 65 on December 18.”

KSW 65 will be the first event under the new deal, an event headlined by a massive superfight between MMA legend Mamed Khalidov and Roberto “Robocop” Soldić for the KSW Middleweight Title. That card will also feature the rematch between Daniel Torres and Salahdine Parnasse for the KSW Featherweight Title.

Szczecin will be the first new city to welcome the promotion. KSW 66 will take place on January 15th, 2022 at the Netto Arena. The card will be headlined by a KSW Lightweight Title fight between champion Marian “Golden Boy” Ziółkowski and former welterweight champion “The Tasmanian Devil” Borys Mańkowski. There has also been rumours of Light Heavyweight champion Tomasz Narkun taking part, a man who trains out of the city’s Berserker gym.

KSWTV.com will remain the place to watch the action in territories that don’t have ViaPlay, including in the UK and Ireland.
