UFC 219 adds Cruz vs. Rivera, Calvillo vs. Esparza to line-up

Former UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz will return to the Octagon exactly a year to the day since he dropped his bantamweight belt to Cody Garbrandt. Looking across at him in the Octagon on December 30th at UFC 219 will be rising bantamweight prospect, Jimmie Rivera.

Rivera is coming off two massive wins, one against the highly touted Brazillian Ricardo Almeida and the other against UFC Hall of Famer Urijah Faber.

UFC 219 will also see Cynthia Calvillo attempt to put the cherry on the cake of what has been an incredible year for the thirty-year-old. The Team Alpha Male standout made her UFC debut back at UFC 209 and has gone 3-0 in the promotion so far with wins over Amanda Bobby Cooper, Pearl Gonzalez and Joanne Calderwood.

Calvillo will face former strawweight champion, Carla Esparza. Esparza is coming off a shock loss last February to Randa Markos at UFC Halifax and will be looking to make a big statement against Calvillo.
